It is no secret that I love coconuts. My all time favorite coconut product is coconut butter. I use it on a daily basis. Coconut baby loves her coconut butter too! We pay anywhere from $10-$15 for a 16 oz jar of this stuff. Not cheap! So I decided it was time to start making our own.
Homemade Coconut Butter
Makes 1/2 – 3/4 cup
- 2 cups organic shredded coconut {where to buy shredded coconut}
Process shredded coconut in food processor or vita-mix for 15-20 minutes.
10 minutes…
Slowly but surely, the shredded coconut became coconut butter!

I gave the Coconut Baby a taste test of each coconut butter.
She checked the texture of the products as well as the flavors. Only the one with the most coconut flavor would win her over.
Okay, she liked all of them. But I think deep down, she thought mine was the best!
