Green Smoothie

We finally got a Vitamix and are loving it, so we use the smoothie setting on it...  All the of the measurements are rough, I just throw a little of this and that in and not really measure it, and this is for 2 good sized smoothies.

1 1/2 C water
2 big handfuls of organic spinach (large box at costco)
1 med handful of organic baby kale (large bag from costco)
1/8 frozen organic lemon (I just cut them up and freeze them, peel and all and just throw it in, helps take bitterness out of greens)
1/2 large frozen banana (doesn't have to be organic)
1/8" slice of ginger root (super good for your digestive system)
A couple dashes of cinnamon
A heaping tsp of chia
A heaping Tblspn of ground flax seeds (aka flax meal)

Those ingredients I add to every single smoothie, then I add different combinations of the following fruit...

5ish pieces of the tropical frozen fruit from costco
A handful of the triple berry trio frozen fruit from costco
A small handful of frozen hand picked huckleberries (picking time is end of July to first of Aug here)
4 or 5 frozen organic strawberries

That's it!  I think we'll be adding the tropical fruit to it daily as well.  It just gives it nice flavor.  This is more of a brown smoothie than a green smoothie, but it tastes so fruity, you'd never know there were greens in there.
