Harvest Sweet Potato Stew
Ingredients:
1 pound bison or beef stew meat
1/2 onion–chopped
1 large sweet potato or yam
3-4 chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
OPTIONAL: (the following ingredients make it more fall-tasting)
3/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. ginger

OPTIONAL: (the following ingredients make it more fall-tasting)
3/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. ginger
Directions:
1. Brown meat, add water and onions, cook until onions are slightly tender.
2. Cut up sweet potato or yam into cubes and put on the bottom of a crock pot.
3. Add meat/water/onions and the rest of the ingredients to the crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
